Nestled on a gorgeous peninsula along Maryland’s beautiful Kent Narrows, the Kent Island Yacht Club provides members a relaxing, family-friendly experience.
Applications are being Accepted
Membership Levels:
Full: For those over age 35.
$600 annually, plus a one-time $1000 Initiation Fee.
Young Adult: For those age 21-35.
$420 annually, plus a one-time $250 Initiation Fee.
Membership includes Applicant and Spouse or Significant Other and any Children under age 21 who are full-time residents of the household.
We do not offer Pool only Memberships.
From Kent Island Yacht Club (KIYC), you have the entire Chesapeake Bay at your call. KIYC is the perfect place to relax at an Eastern Shore pace while enjoying our serene waterfront setting and many amenities. Nearby, explore the Cross Island Trail, local heritage and environmental centers, and all that Kent Island has to offer.
KIYC offers more than 60 slips in our marina (membership required), with fresh water and electricity, and many slips are boat lift-ready. Our extensive transient dock can accommodate more than 20 vessels, and when you're ready to explore other destinations, KIYC members enjoy access to an impressive network of reciprocal yacht clubs. We also offer 15 RV sites with water and electric. Onsite facilities include restrooms, a shower house, and a slip-holders pavilion.
And remember—you don't have to own a boat to make KIYC your home port.
The Commodores Lounge is open year-round, Tuesday through Sunday (Wednesday through Sunday during the winter), offering expansive windows, spectacular views of Prospect Bay, and a welcoming place to relax and enjoy time with friends. Members can enjoy casual dining, seasonal specials, and member favorites, along with libations from the Commodores Lounge Bar, Pool Bar, and Tiki Bar (in season). Take in our beautiful waterfront setting from the patio or expansive lawn, or while relaxing in our heated saltwater pool, open from May through September.
Members enjoy live music and a full calendar of activities throughout the year, including Turkey Shoots, youth activities, social gatherings, and much more. KIYC also hosts select events open to the public, including the Chesapeake Bay Motoring Festival, Holiday Bazaar, and our quarterly Tide to Table Talks.
As a member-driven club, KIYC offers plenty of opportunities to get involved, volunteer, meet fellow members, and help make our Club an even better place to belong. Every week, there is something to enjoy at Kent Island Yacht Club—and we invite you to join us and make KIYC your home on the Bay.
